The mood is currently receptive with the SWMBO. I've been in sensational form in the husband/handyman stakes latley, but who knows how long this could last? I dont want to miss my window.

Although decent quality in its own right, the G&G tube seems a bit thinner walled and kinda wimpy in comparison.

I have the G&G stuff and I would call it anything but wimpy! The Craftbrewer stuff may be slightly thicker (I haven't checked) but the G&G version is serious stuff. Been using it for ages and hadn't even looked like breaking or deteriorating. Can't go wrong with the 20% off deal either...

So i sent Karl another email and updated him and this was his response:

Hi Dave,

Those are some significant numbers. What Im going to do is approach March tonight and see if they can offer me some better pricing, as well need to bring some more pumps in. Hopefully we can come up with a value that everyone is happy with.

I have the G&G stuff... Been using it for ages and hadn't even looked like breaking or deteriorating. Can't go wrong with the 20% off deal either...

My single 2m length is severely discoloured and smells like old wort, but it's good! Hasn't shown any physical signs of weakness yet.

Okay, my G&G silicone hose is 3mm wall thickness on a 12mm internal diameter. I really can't imagine this as wimpy in any respect.

I had some of the G&G silicon hosing inflate on me under mains water pressure (long story involving back-flushing a plate chiller)... It inflated like a balloon (to about the size of one as well!)

That piece of hose is still in use in my brewery... I think it will be forever

Managed to pick up another 4 metres in the G&G 20% of sale (along with a mill, 80kg of grain, 2kg of hops... etc, etc.) *sigh* I love brewing
