Making liquid smoke

Watched a simple way to make liquid smoke. Basically you just pass your smoke thru a condenser tube. The tube is surouned with ice and the condensed smoke drips out the bottom. They just used about 1mtr of 20-25mm copper pipe and pumped the smoke thru using some aircon flex duct from the smoker. Was something super simple.

Haha...but no

Just a tube immersed in ice with a jar under the outlet to collect the liquid smoke.

I would think it's mostly water vapour? As it condenses it probably collects the impurities contained in the smoke, thereby producing liquid smoke.
