The RAPT Spunding valve is really quite close. All the injection molds for this product are finished and we were about to start manufacturing but we found a slightly more accurate pressure transducer that also was easier to assembly in the housing and we decided to change this but that required tweaks to the PCB and this has set us back slightly. We think this Digital Regulator and Spunding Valve will be available for sale in Australia in March this year. Sorry about the delay. The good news is that the accuracy will be about +/- 1% of the gauge range so its quite accurate compared with other options.

The SS FermZilla is probably also March too as we have found some other ways to make the design more efficient to produce and also reduce the RRP on this too.

I have a 65watt magnetic pump which screams when running. I’m thinking it’s has bearing/s that are stuffed
Can these be replaced?

@KegLand-com-au the KCl pH meter storage solution containers are pretty flimsy. I get a lot of crystallsation (have gone through about 3-4 of these in a couple of years). Is this OK or once they crystallise do we need to discard and get fresh solution? Part number is KL04183

I have seen the value 0.7 gll of false bottom for the BZ gen 4 35 lt profile , but with the central hole all the brewing liquid is drained into the fermenter , then this value would have to be 0 gl ...
Yes or no ?

It's unlikely to be the bearings. I would first take it apart and give it a good clean.

If you remove the impeller and turn the pump on and if the sound stops than this confirms it's not the bearings. I have never seen bearings go on this model before.

Assuming it's not the bearings and you have already given the pump a good clean then I would then replace the impeller unit:

Yes I would agree with that. This product is under review at the moment. We are looking to chage to a tighter sealing container that is also larger in size.

Even with a bit of crystalisation it's still fine to use the solution. The main thing is to make sure the tip is moist as a dried out tip will cause the probe head to degrade very fast.

Yes or no ?

Mash tun deadspace? I have mine set at 3.5 lts (I measured this)
Trub/chiller loss? I set to 2.75 lts but that can vary with the amount of hops.
