Hey All

I'm planning a partial brew (23L)with BIAB and the coopers Canadian Blonde kit.
Is there an easy way in Brew Mate to calculate OG but for a partial recipe using the coopers kits and grains ??

This is the brewmate recipe but without adding any extracts-tins (or kits).

Recipe Specs
----------------
Batch Size (L): 10.0
Total Grain (kg): 2.000
Total Hops (g): 30.00
Original Gravity (OG): 1.042 (P): 10.5
Final Gravity (FG): 1.011 (P): 2.8
Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 4.13 %
Colour (SRM): 2.8 (EBC): 5.6
Bitterness (IBU): 40.9 (Average)
Brewhouse Efficiency (%): 70
Boil Time (Minutes): 60
Grain Bill
----------------
1.500 kg Pilsner (75%)
0.500 kg Carapils (Dextrine) (25%)

Hop Bill
----------------
15.0 g B Saaz Pellet (6.8% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil) (1.5 g/L)
15.0 g B Saaz Pellet (6.8% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil) (1.5 g/L)
Misc Bill ----------------
Single step Infusion at 65C for 60 Minutes. Fermented at 15C with Safale US-05

And what does changing brewmate recipe type
to - partial - actually do ?

Thnx

Andrew

If they have an option for hopped malt extract use that.

If they only have liquid malt extract, add 1.7kg of that I guess? Then work out the IBU's manually.

Thanks Mark

I have added liquid malt extract to get an idea of the potential OG = 1.095 - crikey!

Your batch size is only 10lt so it's throwing it out.
