Drinking my Hefe Weizens at the moment which are in 800mm botts

Ive found that my first pour into a Weihenstephan glass tasted diferent compared to when I topped up the last of the bott with the yeast in it

I prefered the top up job

So I have been stirring the yeast up & then pouring

Definately moore bannana flavour better beer I did read about someone here doing it so tried it & have really enjoyed my Hefe more since doing it

Does anybody else do this or am I just dreaming.

I think the way to do it is, pour about a third or more from bottle into glass, then swirl whats left in bottom of bottle and top up glass, thats what i do.

How to pour my favourite hefe ... head over to German and watch how the barstaff pour it for the ladies.

I know that my cousin in bavaria used to pour it by turning the bottle upside down and pulling it up with the liquid level in the glass.
The turbulence caused inside the bottle while it was upside down caused quite a lot of the yeast to get into the glass.
It is less timeconsuming so you get to try the beer faster :) The downside is that you miss a few ml of beer - Simplicity + Speed vs Quantity compromise.

This video was straight after the one above, so I am assuming many folks have already seen it.
