Been setting up a 3V gravity system, so far built the mash tun, counterflow wort chiller and boil kettle.

Mash tun is round cosmoplast cooler with a false bottom from the brew shop, kettle is a 50ltr stock pot which I welded a nipple to to drain, and counterflow wort chiller is as per John palmers book.

Having a slack day today so I have set up the mash tun and kettle in the kitchen and am cooking up a porter from a converted extract recipe I love.

So far other than the size of the pots this is easier than extract brewing, as this is my first AG.

Mash tun is full of grain and smelling awesome.

Nearly ready for a sparge ala batch sparge with a small pot from the kettle.

Loving coming to the other side.

top job :super:

i love the smell of AG brewing, Wait until you add the hops :icon_drool2:

and also when you taste it after its done

cheers matho

Just started the boil now.

Should be working.........One advantage of self employment

Cubed and sitting in the shed for the fermenter tomorrow.

I heard it said before, AG is easier than it looks, now I can see why. Cant wait to drink it.

it's not that hard is it :)

throw some pics up of the system B)

cheers
