Hi,

I am brewing a Coopers IPA that I hopped with boiled EKG pellets (45g) and dry hopped with fuggles (40g). Does anybody know if gelatin finings or any other sort of finings will settle the hop residue. I think that finings will only settle very very small particulates but I am not sure.

if you can cold chill it that would be enough to get the hops to drop out..mine tends to drop down on its own.

Leave it in primary for longer... 2weeks minimum. Ideally then rack to secondary and cold chill for a week. That should produce a pretty clear ale.

Thanks,

I don't have the equipment to cold chill but I can certianly leave it in primary for two weeks.

Still not sure wether the finings are worthwhile trying though
