As long as you are aware that that pot is aluminium, not stainless steel.

That said, those are fantastic kettles. I use an aluminium one for the first couple years of brewing. Zero issues.

Yeah, its a bit misleading really. The maker's brand name is Chef Inox, and the word 'inox' is commonly used to refer to stainless steel. But this pot is actually aluminium (with cast iron handles).

Yeah, its a bit misleading really. The maker's brand name is Chef Inox, and the word 'inox' is commonly used to refer to stainless steel. But this pot is actually aluminium (with cast iron handles).

"Inox" comes from "acier inoxidable" = SS in French, but it's also used to refer to things made of other corrosion resistant metals: the first mainstream aluminium bikes, the Vitus 979, were called "Duralinox"

Chef inox are very good quality alu pots. I have a 20 and a 40.
