The Russians lovea drink. There was a story on the new a few days ago about a crackdown on honebrew vodka makers in Russia. they did an interview with one of the makers (who sells the stuff for $2/litre) and with one of his customers who buys and drinks 2l/day.

Quite a bit of Russian vodka is sold in bottles with foil tops like the old milk bottle tops so you can't re-seal it and you have to drink it all in one sitting.
