DIY tap handles?

Before someone gets all "Two Ronnies" fork handles skit on me and starts showing pictures of pimped up garden or kitchen taps.....your own efforts at beer tap handles please.

I'm going to give it a crack, just need to know what the size is of the m.i thread on intertaps...anyone?
I'd like to have one for each brew personalised which I can change over each time. From what I see online they seem pricey for what could essentially be an old chair leg sawn off with an accommodating f.i thread in the end.

Anyone care to post pics of their own efforts?
