Trying to convert a coopers keg, but my mate thinks it might be made of aluminium. Is this true? I thought/assumed all kegs were stainless.

Also, looks like the Toohey's system. Will a Toohey's coupler fit? Or is there a special Coopers one out there somewhere that I'm going to have to source?

Thanks in advance guys,

Thommo.

they are definitely stainless!
dont know about the coupler bit tho

Thanks mate.

My buddy wasn't convinced so he tried heating it. In case anyone out there really wants to know, it is definately Stainless Steel.

He says it's very soft for stainless steel though.

Owe you a beer vlbaby.

Still interested in knowing if it's a Toohey's coupler that's required though.

Cheers,
Thommo.

have you got one to try???

try it....

borrow one....Id lend you mine, but you're not there!!!

Any confirmation on the Coopers kegs using a Tooheys type coupler?

Cheers,

Sam

Sam,

Answered your PM, but thought I'd answer here as well for the public form.

The Coopers Keg seems to fit a Tooheys keg coupler. Didn't hook it up and get it running, as I'm nowhere near that stage yet, but the coupler fit nice and easy.

Unless someone else can confirm it doesn't work for some reason, then I'd say the Coopers keg is a Tooheys keg with a pretty red stripe around it.

Thommo.
