Hi all

Just after comments on a pale ale recipe I'm looking to do this weekend. It's an extract recipe with a 10L boil.

2.5kg ldme
500g dex
200gg cararoma
200g carapils
Grains steeped for 30min
18g magnum hops @ 60
30g centennial @ 20
15g centennial @ 10
25g centennial at 540g centennial dry hopped in keg
US05 yeast

OG around 1050
IBU at around 40

Sorry. Mistake in this one. Will delete when I get back to my laptop.

Drop the dex and add some more LME (liquid or dry). Dex doesn't really add anything other than alcohol.

I'd drop the 20 minute addition down to about 20 grams and have an addition of around 25 grams at 0 minutes too. Will give you a better hop profile.

Should come out well.

Definitely stick with the half kilo odd dry hopped in the keg, and invite me 'round for a taste....

Yup, it seems a bit counter productive to add dextrose that will thin out the beer and then add carapils to beef it back up. Just stick with malt extract, I reckon.

I would drop the dex too. Carapils is probably not required either as its not foing to add too much. I would just up the dme to get your desired abv.
