How much time do I have after I added the priming sugar to bottle my beer???? I got 18 bottled out of my 5 gallons when the capper broke., dont have any other twist offs or bottles like that around the house so im I out of luck??? It would suck to have to dump all that beer

How long is it going to take you to get to a shop and buy a new capper?
An hour or so wouldn't be too big a drama I would think as it takes a while for the yeast to kick off again and convert the priming sugar to CO2.

If longer then you could just let it all ferment out and hten prime again...

It'll be fine db. As RichLum said, just let it ferment out. When your new capper arrives next week, just prime again and bottle. You'll just end up with slightly more alcohol than you were expecting. :chug:

cool thanks

back in the fermenter it went.... no more of them crap plastic cappers that they give you in the kit...

What about putting cling wrap around the lid? This would probably be sweet for the week wouldnt it?

Cling wrap will be ok for the fermenter but not for the bottles - you'll get no carbonation.
