saweet, my pumps just turned up. I am in Brisbane CBD and pumps came from Toowoomba which would explain the swift shipping.

Man, they are tiny. Not much longer than one of my fingers....

Thanks for all your efforts Warwick. I am tempted to grab a 3rd 24V pump just so I have a spare. I will be using one of them to prototype my brau-clone and then shifting up to a March pump when I am happy with the build. Alternatively I may be happy with the LBP and save myself $300...

The other will be for sparge water.

Mine arrived in the CBD this morning too. I actually missed my name in the posted list so wasn't expecting it.

They are the exact same size as the others out there. I have a Gryphon 12V one so it'll be interesting to see the performance difference.

arse, both of my pumps have broken mounting brackets. might still be able to superglue them back on but not sure how much the pumps vibrate and stress the repair. Failing that I can zip-tie it to the framework of the system.

I don't know what the spares are for, but I would suggest leaving them for actual failures at first. If there are still some spares left when everyone has tested theirs, I wouldn't mind getting them replaced.

Ahhh.. That's a shame..
Will definitely do just that as far as spares go.
I hope no more get broken though.
I wonder how much they got thrown around..

They definitely weren't broken when I put them into the packet..

One of my Ebay ones arrived the same - so it seems to be a common thing.
However the flimsy support bracket is next to useless anyway (it seems to crack along where the screw is inserted), duct tape, cable ties or anything similar will hold the tiny pump wherever you need it to stay.

Couriers throw things around like you wouldn't believe, always have and always will, if something is marked fragile it's almost like a challenge to break whatever is in the package...

Don't worry,

My LBP from Gryphon did excatly the same thing, re-inforcing that they are probably the same unit re-badged.

Cable tying it will probably be the best option I think or use something like a saddle bracket or a short piece of galvanised bracing strip. Maybe even a piece of velcro tape ?

They still work however you tie them down.

Both of mine cracked at the base of the bracket which attaches to the actual pump body. No big deal, I can attach it some other way!!

Yay for saddle bracket, duct tape or cable ties. If I can't fix the problem with any of those it is time to hand in my man card!!! ;)

Thanks for all the info Gents.

Good to hear it wasn't my dodgy packing.
I thought I'd packed them up well enough..

Oh well.
I do know all about couriers though.
I've had packages arrive before which have busted at the side and have the cardboard all soaked(IT equipment mind you) and then had to have an argument with the courier as to why i'm not signing for it.
Looked like he'd backed over it with his van actually.

They're that little I just let it hang with the rest of the silicon hose ;)

Nor are they that powerful that they really need to be tied down or attached, they don't vibrate or bounce around much at all (and are super quiet).
Pending building a brew-stand mine sit on milk-crates without any problem:

Just got mine today, great work Warwick.

Confirming that i have received:

2 x 12V
1 x 24V (for Wildayeast) We'll sort that out between us mate.

Had one cracked base on one of the 12V ones too, no biggy to me though, I drive a Great Wall

Thanks for all your efforts, great work organising this hopefully I'll get around to actually making some beer soon :icon_cheers:

Cheers

Damn hey. How weak must those bases be.

I know what you mean with making beer.
Have actually managed to run out at the moment..
Perhaps once I get all of this packaging and sending out of the road I'll find some time..

Well, after some quick eBaying (after looking at some Aus prices) I picked up two of these. Should be able to find some Aus power cords which will plug into the power pack.

Just received my power packs as well. Wow, they packed in some Aus power cords for me. Looks like I'll be testing my pumps tonight if my dinner guests bugger off at a reasonable hour.. ha ha

Then all I have to do is build the rest of my Brau-clone and I'll be making AG beer.

Thanks again Warwick. If I am ever forced to go to Toowoomba I'll try and drop some beers off. :icon_cheers:

I'll take a 12v one for a mate. So $7 postage? $32 total?
edit: TL-B07 12V

Ive said 12V but it looks like you only have 24V left? I assume they can still be run on 12V DC phone charger?

I'll definitely try to drop in with couple the next time I'm up that way. The in-laws live at the range so not too far :)

P.S. Make sure you have some of yours to try :p
