Plan was to do my first AG brew as a Blonde Ale following Jamil's "Call Me!" recipe in Brewing Classic Styles. Was looking for a nice, easy-drinking beer whilst the weather is still warm.

Rough Recipe:
5.2kg Ale Malt
230g Carahell
Mash @ 67
28g Willamette @ 60
US-05

Scored some free out of date (Best Before Nov 2014) Yeast Bay Northeastern Abbey yeast and was told that it might be nice with a Blonde Ale. Seeking advice, potentially from those who have either brewed Jamil's Blonde Ale or those who have tried this yeast, on whether this may create a totally different style from what I was aiming for and whether I should stick to US-05 and save this yeast for something more Belgian.

Incidentally, plugging the above into IanH's BIAB spreadsheet gave me too much colour and not enough bitterness. Was thinking of adding 15g of Nelson Sauvin late in the boil. Thoughts?

Cheers!
