I'm not trying to hijack the thread but I thought it best to respond here.

Mark has indicated, unfortunately, that he does not have the time to organise a get together.

A local brewer, Evan, has put up his hand to host a gathering of fellow mashers and has said he will give us a date in the not too distant future.

Looks like I'm back in Newcastle Monday Tuesday next week so will stay the night.
Can anyone recommend a hotel that is good and handy for a get together on Monday night ?
Hope to catch up with a bunch of Newie brewers on Monday night.

But as mess expands to fill any given space, dont hold your breath.

I dont know where Marks is, but wests newcaslte is a nice hotel. I cant remember the name of teh hotel company in there though. If you search you will find. Sorry im on an extremely slow dial up where i am today.

I must also decline. Would love to come and enjoy a beer or 2 but with apprentice No.3 only a couple of weeks away all extra curricular activities have been put on hold. Maybe next time.
