    Pride Of Ringwood

    60 Plus Pet Bottle

    How Long Is Too Long?

    How long is too long in the fermenter for a lager at 16-18 degrees? Just bottled a batch that smells a little like vinegar but NO growth on top. It was in about 5 weeks.

    Beer Out Os A Pete Bottle

    Well I have tasted my first beer out of a PETE bottle, pured it into a clean glass and it is shite!!!! I have had a carton of stubbies of the same beer and I don't like PETE!!!! It has less carbination, no head when poured into the galss and is generally disappointing.

    What is the least and most time you should leave finnings in the fermenter for?

    Is This My First Infection?

    As the tittle says. Ingredients were Tooheys Lager (can goop) Coopers Dextrose and a Brigalow finishing hops half tablet the day after putting it down on 25/9/2010? OG was 1034, todays sg is 1006. Smells like any other brew I have put down.

    What Next?

    OK, I know some people may not want to answer me, thats fine. I tried the suggestion of putting yeast in a 2ltr bottle of apple cidar. My question is, what do I do now that it has fermented? Do I transfer it into another 2 ltr bottle and prime it with dextrose or just drink it as it is?
