I have been reading some oldish home brew books. They suggest Zinc is a worthwhile addition to aid yeast health. Is this old school or is it still relevant? If so, what is the best form to use?

Info is correct. Wyeast nutrient contains zinc. You can also buy zinc sulphae and zinc chloride from some suppliers but yeast nutrient is probably best/easiest bet.

Most farmers nowadays will spray zinc on their barley crop if it needs it. You shouldn't need to add it to your brew but it won't do any harm.
