Vent-matic Bulk Buy

Are these being sourced from overseas MAH? May get some/upgrade in the future and given my recent spending on these bulk buys better hold off for now

Yep they are from the US. I found a number of places that do good deals. Just typed stainless steel beer shank into Google.

It just takes a bit more running around. It doesn't all come from one place like Ken's deal and you probably have to wait longer for them to arrive.

AUS$28 for shank and bits plus postage is an EXCELLENT buy - I did a bit of shopping around and found cheap SS shanks too, but they didn't sell the Vent-matic faucet as well so I plumped for NB who did the lot. I also figured that if NB sold the faucet and shank then I have a pretty good chance of paying for a shank that will fit the faucet. But that said, the 4 inch SS shank at NB cost me US$35.95!!
I also figured that postage for two packages would negate any possible savings.

That stuff looks similar to the gear for sale on the Superior website - nice find wherever it is MAH. Quite a few of the suppliers who sell stainless shanks cheaply, won't ship to here...

Great price too! I am interested.

Top work Ken for organising this bulk buy. However don't worry if you missed out you'll still be able to source all the necessary bits at an affordable price. A number of Adelaide brewers are just about to put in an order for:

Total cost is about AUS$28 plus postage.

The VentMatics can also be sourced for about AUS$40 + AUS$3.50 for handle + postage. So Ken's bulk buy price is about spot on, however I would suggest that the Australian supplier is not the cheapest option outside of the bulk buy.

I'm not organising a bulk buy for this. Just letting others know not to despair if they missed out on Ken's good deal, as there are places OS that are giving good prices if you are prepared to organise buying bits from a few different places and wait for surface delivery from the States.

Well Just got off the phone...

Due to working for Defence i could not get the taps delivered to work - and my wife is at a funeral today - so..

i got the taps delivered to:

Now comes the problem..

I have 50 taps with Collar shank and 7 taps only....

BUT no Plastic Handles. I am missing 57 of them.

I have just phoned him - the black plastic handles will be sent express post - so should get here most likely monday... I am sorry guys - but not my fault.

Roach i have 2 spare black plastic handles - so i can cover yours...

Here is a pic of the existing taps.

Tap removed - showing snaplock fitting.

Ventmatic Tap Connected in its place.

Now the first pour


it pours really fast

Now - this is a pic showing the difference between the Ventmatic supplied Collar and snaplock male shank on the left and one supplied with grundy taps.


Differences:
- The ventmatic has little teeth to mate onto the ventmatic tap
- The ventmatic has a smaller hole diameter for the beer to pass thru.
- the grundy has a rubber seal and a larger diameter.

Wether this makes a difference or not - i do not know.

a couple of those bonus handles will be fine GMK Seriously tho, happy to wait for the new black handles from the distributor when they arrive, and grab them off you at work. In the meantime I can easily use my existing BD handles.
