Thermowell

Hi,
i'm thinking of welding a thermowell to my keggle but all the ones i've seen sold are weldless types. I know there are welded types out there but for some reason the homebrew stores don't seem to have them. I rather not weld the weldless types and have the threaded part on the inside of the keggle where things can stick to and missed in the cleanup. Is there any shops out there that supplies welded types or am i worrying about nothing?

i'd appreciate any suggestions

Cant you just weld a socket on the pot and then screw in the thermowells? Beerbelly sell ones that screw internal or external.
