Hey Guys,

about to head out the door to G&G. Today we are having the dry run for the System Wars video/presentation/discussion that will be happening at the ANHC.

So if you want to see a brewing cage match between standard 3V vs HERMS vs BIAB ... and you can't make it to the main filming day on the 28th August. Head on down to G&G this morning and join in the fun of the dress rehearsal.

you might get your head on camera, you will get to heckle people who brew differently to you.... now who could resist that?? :p

see you there

TB

Here are my photos from the system wars.

I had a great day, learned heaps and there was free beer as well!

Cheers, good photo's.

We'll have that damn plate chillier sorted for next time :D

Nice work,

Whats with the lab coats?

Looks like a great day guys... will be good to see it in person on the 28th of August.

Awesome!! B)

Was there an official winner? Who was finished first?

Annoyingly, there was no clear definition of what constituted a 'win', but by absolute audience acclaim, the winner was BIAB. We also finished first and were drinking beer while the others cleaned up all their vessels.

It was an entirely enjoyable day. And it all happens again (minus the skyhook blunder) later this month.

Quite clearly some of the ugliest brewers I have seen anywhere !

Looks like an excellent day and one I wish I could have been to. Great photos.

Nice work,

Whats with the lab coats?

All BIAB brewers have a lab coat. As part of our apprenticeship we make it out of what is left over from our first bag.

However we are sworn to NEVER wear them in public. The Mystic Brotherhood of BIABBers hereby cast a Fatwah on this person. I do have it on good authority that this guy is actually a mole from the HERMs camp, in other words not only a Fatwah but a curse of dismal quality on his beers for five years.

Note the holy light of BIAB emanating from me in this photo.

Hey great shots mate, I take it they are doing an identical recipe for tasting / judging? Results should be fascinating :icon_cheers:
