Stc1000 Reassurance Question

Hey guys,

Long story short my fermenting fridge is no longer with us. I still have a stc1000 wired up tho.

My question is can I still use it with just the heat mat plugged in?

I'm about to ferment a stout and thought it might help if I use the heat mat with some sort of temp control. Given the recent cold nights in melbourne.
