the question is:
how bad is it?
If it is starsan, it has more likely eaten than stained your benchtop
run your fingernail over it, it should feel pitted

If it is just a slight pitting, you may get away with a good hard polish (proper cutting compounds, all the way down to polish)
It will always be different, but it may be enough to make it not apparent.

Have not tried this, YMMV etc.

Actually it wont rust the floor.

Star-San also makes for a great rust converter as its primary ingredient is Phosphoric Acid, which is a rust converter.

I have tested it out and it works great

+1 to Jif on Ceaserstone. Ajax powder is even better for worse stains. Selleys Stone Benchtop Clean to polish back to shiny.
