Not too bad, Brewman at Newcastle sells it for slightly more per kilo.

However our club North of Brisbane used to get 20 kilo sacks for around 50 bucks but had to get a few in to make the bulk buy. Other suppliers could get it in for about $80 per individual sack.
If you aren't into bulk buys or unable to find a chemical company that will sell to you it is very hard to source in smaller quantities so that bucket, that would do you for a couple of years, would be worth getting.

Now, Perc is sold either as a powder or "coated" grains. The coating on each grain is designed to prevent the escape of oxygen from the perc which, eventually, would just render it into Sodium Carbonate - washing soda.

So if it arrives as a powder rather than sugar-like grains it would be advisable to vac pack it or snaplock pack it and even freeze it in kilo lots, if enough freezer space.

Edit: not knocking Brewman by the way, just saying that perc is available at a reasonable price for those not able to access the Melbourne deal on Ebay. I bought three kilos of coated grains from MHB before Brewman took over and still using it for tea towels, bleaching my volleys and general brewing. It's a bit like Starsan, buy once and use for a couple of years.

Looks like the ebay seller is new - only 31 sales against the name.

But, yeah, okay deal if you include the shipping and free(!) bucket.

If you are after bulk deals, check out the BB trader details thread (sticky) for Hucon (Bayswater). Going rate is ~$1.5/kg.

Hucon can't currently supply, the local manufacturer shut shop, not sure if that's recently changed..

Looks like a good deal. They Only ship to Melbourne though.

Does anyone know of a good place to buy this stuff in sydney?
