Hi folks,

What's the best price for coated 100% sodium percarbonate? Found a few possibilities below, but not sure if they're coated. First one seems best, if it's coated?

I read in a thread of a couple of people being happy with this supplier - one told me it was 100% sodium perc (I have also sent a message to supplier to doublecheck): $80/25kg, I understand $15 ship to Tassie:
http://auroracleaning.com.au/type.asp?TypeID={22039CC0-0B56-431C-81D5-A7456B8CA971}&CategoryID={72E1B197-A739-4D7B-9C11-A92096C9D949}&Sodium%20Percarbonate

Seems much better than the Oxybleach here, which is only 33% sodium perc and 28% alkaline salts - $66 for 20kg: https://www.bulkwholesale.com.au/product/ox-bleach-oxygen-powdered-bleach-20kg-bucket

Or this place's 100% sodium perc at $10 (edit $100) for 10kg - scratch that!: http://www.cleanandgreenproducts.com.au/product/intensive-oxy-boost/

Then there's this one: http://www.pacificwater.com.au/product/sodium-percarbonate/ - $190 for 25kg

These ones, I'm not sure about constituents or price:

Any tips?

Which bit of tassie? Might get the price down if you order a pallet load. There might be enough brewers here who are interested.

@micbrew might be able to advise the place he went through for a recent perc / met bulk buy.

I should have thought to do this, by my good old LHBS Brew Tas is coming through with a comparable quantity/price to the best above :) Suggest Taswegians talk to Peter there if they ever need some.

Good to know.

I get my stuff from both brew tas and moonah (just around the corner from work but don't have quite the range that brewtas do).
Got about 10kg of pure still but you don't know it's gone till it is.

Recent bulk buy ... 25kg $ 34 for 2o+. Bags redox from memory thanks to Yob for the recommendation

I notice the Redox bags have a manufacture date and expiry date that is only 12 months apart. I thought sodium perc has a much longer shelf life than that?

I have been doing a bit of research lately into Sodium Perc. (I need to find a replacement for a product I have been using for nearly 20 years.)

A snippet I came across the other day was that over time, the Available Oxygen (AvOx) content of the product will decline. The suggested shelf life for this product is one year.

BTW, I am not a scientist, I read it on a suppliers website. I think it was Redox, but not sure...
