Hi all, im thinking of putting down a Morgans royal oak amber ale, has anyone done this and what malt and hops did you use, My mate used a liquid amber malt and was very nice, im thinking of using morgans caramalt for mine.
 
Whatever you do don't add any bittering hops. I tried to use a Royal Oak as a Newcastle Brown Base, added some hops then some more hops and it turned out not unlike nail polish. However some nice mellow liquid malt would go very nicely, even a kilo of light dried malt extract and half a kilo of dex would round it out.
