Recommendations For 4800w Element And Simmerstat

Hi All,

I am looking to upgrade my two handheld (over the side) immersion elements to a fixed 4800W element for the kettle. I am also thinking of putting in a simmerstat (20 amps) or equivalent. I am planning to put the element in my newly acquired 120L pot (old asian noodle pot)...to do 50-60 litre boils.

Does anyone have any recommendations (manufacturer/retailer) or experience with this type of equipment?

Go to a wholsale mob like TLE or Cetnaj...

The prob you will have will be the mounting flange for the element. You may need to find someone to weld it into your pot

the pot is too thin for welding...i was thinking of some type of 1 or 2 inch BSP threaded type and doing weldless.

not yet...my dad (retired) and my brother are both sparkies. I have 30 amps running out to the back shed.
