Anyone know where I can get my hands on a plasma cutter for the day, got my hands on a Keg and looking to convert it once I've scraped together a lid/thermometer and the rest!

Is it just to take the top off? You can always just use an angle grinder.

Either way make sure it's got no pressure in it.

Coats or Kennards will likely do you one for half a day. Bit of pricey option unless you have a specific task in mind I reckon.
They do kick arse however and make short, neat work of ******* stainless steel.

I used a 4' grinder, u can rest the grinder against the handle rim and just follow it around. I then hit it with a flap disc to tidy it up. If u can, cut one a bit smaller than the next vessel so you can use as a lid!

You will also need,a bloody good pair of ear muffs, jeez does the noise echo when cutting a keg....umm,making a keggle. ;)

Used plasma on my first one clean up was shit house the Sparks burnt into the bottom use 1mm cutting disk for the rest worked out quicker

I dumped a couple of litres of water in mine before cutting it stopped any sparks from scorching the bottom .
