Party Star Deluxe Tap

Hi,

I am hoping somebody may be able to help me. I have recently purchased a mini keg setup which uses the Party Star Deluxe Tap (http://minikeg.net.au/product.php?id_product=17) and I am finding that the tap is leaking gas when I tap my 5L minikegs.

I have 12 x 5L minikegs and 12 different bungs that I use and so far out of 6 kegs tapped, all 6 have leaked gas.

Has anybody else come across this problem? and if so how did you go about fixing it?

I have tried the vaseline on the top part of the spear where it sits snug on the bung though this did not work.

What about a few winds of teflon thread tape around the spear where it will sit in the bung?
Just a few, so it doesn't catch on the lip of the bung and roll up.
