G'day guy's
I want to brew tomorrow and noticed I have no Flaked Maze , what can I substitute it with or I may just leave it out :icon_cheers:
Cheers Phil

Polenta, preferably the 1min cook variety

Cornflakes work very well, but I wouldn't put in more than 500g as there is a wee bit of added salt, although that could work ok in a dark beer. I once did a kilo o cornflakes lager and it worked ok however. Just stir into mash at dough in, they wilt and vanish quite quickly.

Thanks guys. I'll see whats in the pantry
:icon_cheers: Cheers. Phil :icon_chickcheers:

:icon_cheers: Thank's Guy's
I used the Cornflakes as I had those in pantry so I'll see how it turn's out , but whilst shopping today I did grab the Polinta for next time

Do you pre-boil the 1 minute polenta (aka instant polenta I guess), or just throw it into the mash straight from the bag/box?

Hi Brando
I'll mash it , I'll put it in after I stir in grain , just gentle stir it in and leave for 60mins
Cheers Phil :icon_cheers:
