Hey guys, i'm looking to buy some neoprene to insulate my kettle/HLT. I called up clarke rubber and they want $130/meter (1200mm x 4.5mm). This seems pretty excessive - buying an actual wetsuit would be cheaper than buying from clarke rubber.

Anyone know where i could buy neoprene for a reasonable price?

Thanks

Try your local sail maker and See if he can't knock you up one cheap

FWIW, I think you want neoprene foam or sponge, not rubber sheet. Apparently it's the foaming that makes neoprene a good insulator.

Lots of neoprene foam on eBay for cheap, but the sheets are just too small. Try RS components.

Give your nearest wetsuit manufacturer a call, and ask the source of their material?
