Hi all, Jeffery Donovan at Promash has now prepared a new Malt import file for all ProMash users which can be downloaded from:

http://www.promash.com/data/maltcraft.mim

Simply save the file somewhere you can remember. Next, go to the ProMash grain database, choose "Import" and pick the file "MaltCraft.mim". The program will then tell you it has successfully imported the data.

This data was entered by MaltCraft for Promash and represents all the grain varieties available (73 entries in the import file). For more information on MaltCraft, visit our webpage at:

http://www.maltcraft.com/

If anyone has any problems please send email to techsupport at promash dot com

Fantastic.
Thanks for entering all the info Wes and getting Jeff to create the import file.
This is definitely going to make my brew planning a lot more accurate.

Top work, and thanks again.

A very appreciative,
Doc

OK you Beersmith guys, I am also working on a way to get the same malt info available through the Beersmith program. Stay tuned and I will keep you posted.

Hi Batz,

Havnt had much luck finding the time yet and will be OS for the next 3 weeks then on to the International Beer Awards in Melbourne early May. Sorry, but you may have to stay tuned a little longer.

Will REALLY try hard to do the right thing TDA... actually we will be (wife and I) in Paris for a few days on the way home - (not my idea originally, now very concerned about credit card) - and will attempt to re-calibrate taste buds for Biere de Garde and Saison styles. I have been able to identify a couple of bars in Paris that specialise in these styles, so heres hoping.

What a difference having the correct Malt info in Promash makes.
Normally I'm within a point or two of all my gravities, but yesterday I was bang on all gravities at all stages of the brew.

Awesome. Thanks again Wes.

Beers,
Doc
