Local?
Is that the Wheatsheaf by any chance?
Or is there another oasis in town?
It's actually good to see LCPA - and others - creeping into the fridges of a surprising number of bars around town now.
:beerbang:
Could do with a few more with them on tap...

Would be nice if there were othere locations butthat would have to be the Wheatie. A great pub. That Hightale is so much better from the tap than it is from a bottle.

I'd agree with that.
I could just sit there drinking butchers of LCPA and Hightail all day. Noticing all the differences between the two.

Don't start down that track. Kai will be posting about Roger's beer and Hightail tasting the same.

I think the creatures have a nice pale malt taste, almost like the taste you get in your mouth when you grind grain and get the dust everywhere.
The hightail seems to have a kind of dry husky taste like chewing on the barley husk.
There's a similar taste in coops stout. Like licking some dirt - that's it, fresh dug earth, that's what i get and I'm not that fond of it. But I love the malty caramel of the hightail.
Or am I crazy?
