I've attempted to sort this out by reading a few of the draft balancing sheet floating around on the net but still am a little unsure...
I have a 9L keg (American Pale Ale) sitting in the fridge at 4c, under pressure of about 95 kpa and it has been there for about 2 - 2.5 weeks. I am fairly confident that this will give me the correct volume of co2 for this beer style.
However, I only have 110-120cms of 3/16 beer line leading to a picnic tap .... from most sources I have read this will be too short.
I am wondering what my best course of action would be to ensure this will serve ok (I dont want to give trial and error too much of a go as I only have approx 8L of beer in the keg). Would it be best just to drop the pressure down while serving and then at the end of the night put it back up ? if so what would I need to drop it too ?
Any help would be appreciated.
