Because Mac is new its is less prone for attack.
It will last a couple of years and she'll be in the same boat.
Though I like the way Mac thinks.
Soon we will have artificial brain doing thinking for us.
I remember seeing early apple Macs in 1985 and using Apple mac 6 & 7 in 1990 before the internet took off. Being new is lnot the reason, being less popular and much harder to crack is.

My 1st pc was a Mac.
I wouldn't say there are less popular now.
But for businesses to change there software there is an enormous cost involved to do so.
Microsoft is the Big boys and they have every bank, business and most homes too.
Their new windows are good but sluggish it will improve.

I'd rather "Mac" any day but cannot afford the transition.

Butters!
I agree that when the Norton Whore and the other monsters are deleted should work fine.

Update on Norton.

gee they are very prompt to help but their programming is still bulky.
74MB for version 2.0 and a year on top for nothing for their protection.
I am saddened by this. My drawing problem isn't solved and every thing is difficult for a layman.
According to tests my IQ is well above 120 but I find it still difficult to navigate through their #$%@ing set up module.

I just blame it on the alcohol.....

I just want to say AAAAAAAAAaaaaarghhhh :icon_drunk:

Avast is great and superantispyware to take care of all the rest of the troublesome crap that comes with surfing the net these days.

cheers

with your drawing errors, try updating directx and the graphics driver, it might help. Failing that, it may be that you have incorrect settings for your open gl, but Its been ages since I used a 5500, so can't for the life of me remember what the optimum settings are on that card....

I dont know why people still bother with Windows...

Why pay big $$ for a system that requires more $$ to be spent on it..

Linux runs rings around Windows any day...and its FREE and a lot more secure...

Need a different 'mindset' to run Linux and hardware support still a little flaky if you are running anything slightly less than mainstream.
The hardest bit is remembering all the correct terms to type in to get things to operate.

I have a Linux powered media streamer that is about as stable as Windows 95 on a bad day.

A similar argument could be made for homebrewing over megaswill.

Long story short, of course it's ideal but it's never going to happen.
