So I was emptying a couple of kegs I had dry hopped heavily in. The remnants of the keg hop smelt delcious, so delicous I couldn't let myself throw it down the drain so I collected it. I realised that it smelt stronger and more pungent than the beer I had on keg in it. I was trying to work out how I could get my beer tasting/smelling as good as these left over hops smelt( tropical and pungent). I had an idea so I get my strainer out and strained the hop juice from the hops and blended the juice with another hoppy beer I had on tap. Whoa it tasted great. Got me wondering, has anyone else tried this and made a super aromatic beer with the leftover keg hop/juice? Additionally, is it normal for the hops themselves to always be more pungent than the beers we produce?
