G'day Brewers,
I just opened my fermentation fridge after a cold crash to 1.5 degrees from around 19 degrees to find the starsan in the airlock has frozen and the fermenter has been sucking air straight from the fridge by the looks of it. Hopefully the brew will still be OK, it's a 2 piece so I pulled the lid and tipped some fesh starsan in to defrost and sprayed the lid to defrost any in that as well.
This is a first, I wouldn't of thought the starsan would of froze with the tempmate set to 1.5 degrees C. I usually crash in increments, opening the fridge and letting the airlock bubble out every 5-10 degrees but this time I just set her at 1.5 and let her crash all the way. Probably wont try that again.
