Hi guys!

Just wondering about the pros and cons of Fresh Wort vs Stove-Top/Wetpak

I have heard good things of both. Which do you guys prefer and why?

Brendan

Have not done a wet pack but done a few FWKs

Advantages: Ready to go just add yeast unless you are intending to trick it up.
I have done both the 15L ones and the 21L from Craftbrewer which are brilliant.
You get a cube included in the price.
Craftbrewer do a good range of FWK should find one to suit any style.

Cons: none except price for shipping if you cannot pick them up coz they are bloody heavy.
Too many styles to choose from extremely wallet unfriendly.

Fresh wurts are all grain, I have only had the Craft Brewer ones; Irish Red Ale, GMT Porter and Black Goat Bitter, all are very nice beers and better than extract.

Extract/ Stove top is good as your making and designing the beer yourself and I've also had good beers this way so far, only been brewing since christmas.

Fresh Wort is all grain wort. The same stuff you would make if you did all-grain and no-chilled.

I think its a fantastic product to perfect your fermentation practicses on before shifting to BIAB/all-grain and making your own "fresh wort" once you know how to control and manage a perfect ferment
