Hi, I have a kelvinator 210L chesty which I'm pretty sure that the relay has failed. Measuring with a multi meter I get no resistance across the contacts.

I have contacted and searched parts suppliers and they suggest that the part is no longer available from the manufacturer.

This kind of leaves me in a pickle.

What can I do?, will a 'generic' type relay work given I find out what size compressor and so forth?

My freezer is a kelvinator H210A

Fitted with a Embraco compressor and relay.

Old replay part# 1422933

Superseded part# 1416714

Please help!

As long as its standard 240v then yes.
And also provided its fitted by a licensed sparky.
However, are you sure its the relay and not the motor? Best to get someone else to look at it, or buy a cheap one from an auction joint. Greys always turns up good units cheap

Nice ribbons Mate! Well done.

sorry OT.
