Empty Space In Primary Ferm.

is there any problems brewing smaller batches in a 5 gal fermenter? just wondering if i ever wanted to experiment with a small batch like 12 or 15l if i would need a smaller fermenter.

I brewed an MSB pale ale 4 weeks ago that was only 11 litres. I used 30 litre fermenters. Its bottled now and have tried one. Tastes fine.

it should nt matter as the beer is ferementing the yeast with co2 coming out of the beer protects it from infections ect i dont know the full science but one day i wil but its something like that
