As the name suggests my crown urn which I have had for two years has started to short and trip the safety switch. I have attempted to detach the two brown wires which from limited reading has suggested is involved with the dry boil cut off. I'm unsure if it is the element itself or one of the connections that needs fixing. Any suggestions welcome.

Yes. Manticle..not touching the wiring anymore..just thought it might be a loose connection..

Post some photos if you want of the wiring. Is there any scorching of the wires?

Is the house circuit tripping, is a powerboard/extension cord tripping (some have built-in 10A fuses/trips), or is it the urn itself?

I have to run my pumps/temperature controller and my urn on separate house circuits otherwise the circuit will (very occasionally) trip.
