Agree with all the posts. I recently emailed them asking what fittings they would recommend to turn my crab cooker into a fully functioning BIAB pot. Anthony replied with a quote and instructions on how to fit everything. Even when I changed my mind a few times about how I was going to do it, Anthony was always quick to ring with advice or email through an adjusted quote. Highly recommend them.

I don't want to harp on too much but I got my delivery from CB today (ordered under 48 hours ago) and I am blown away by the difference in quality from what I am used to.

Ordered a BIAB bag and it feels like it was designed and built by an engineer - looks like it will last for years, compared to the amateur-grade bag I got from Chewers Broice.
Grain and hops neatly vacuum packaged and labelled, no guesswork involved. The guy at the previous shop I used said things like "I think this is yours" and "I dunno what that is, but you ordered it" and left it up to me guess. Not helpful at all to a new AG brewer who is after specifics so they can learn and improve.

Just mentioning this in case it helps other beginners, or people getting fed up with garbage service and quality.

Now I'm all set for http://aussiehomebrewer.com/recipe/960-little-fellas-pale-ale/ :p

Agreed. I emailed them a few questions regarding fitting a spigot to my pot and Anthony sent me all the pieces and cost as per my specifications. Called me to confirm order and details. Simply incredible customer service. Do you guys have a way (or does anyone know of a way) of nominating businesses for awards of any sort?

I have to agree, they do great work. Always prompt service. If you need something quick, it's better for me to get it from Ross than somewhere much closer.

I would also like to share my experience with craftberwer,
I ordered afew kegs and and some other bits and pieces, they responded verry quickly to my questions about the shipping etc.
The glassware i ordered was extremly well packaged in some grain bags/sacks, I dont know if they use them as marketing but i want to do AG now! (the bags smelt good)

I just wish they were closer so i could try some of their beers that ive heard you get tasters of, then again i think they would send me broke!

Up to 3kg for the Fastway Bag, delivery to Taree area is the same price as delivery to Bribie Island when I lived there.

However there is a difference: Capalaba to Bribie often used to take 2 days. Capalaba to Old Bar is usually overnight  - seems to get into Port Macquarie at dawn then on to Old Bar to get here about beer o'clock. Brilliant.

Handy being 10 mins off the Pacific Hwy, I ordered a bike online out of Sydney at 2 pm and the guy was knocking at the door at 11 am next morning. :super:

That's Australia post for you, things from Victoria (cheers Yob) arrive the next day, something from Capalaba or Hervey Bay can take three days. I would imagine all are posted at the same time. There does seem to be a vacuum between here and Brissy.
I shop at all these retailers and find the service great.

I find it amazing that I can get stuff overnight or next day from interstate but my craftbrewer orders usually take 4 days to get from capalaba to Kalllangur, I guess the fast way courier in my area ain't so fast.
Last order I had my yeast rolling around in his van for 3 days before I called the driver, I am lucky I did call him otherwise it would have been in his van over the weekend, finally got it around 6pm on a Friday arv.
Definitely was not CB's fault they had it out the next morning after a late night order. They were only too happy too pass on the drivers details.

Cheers

Bought a whole keg setup at the weekend. When I set it up I noticed the font had some cosmetic issues.

Emailed Ross and he sent a new one up no questions asked and included a return paid postbag.

Always great service from Craftbrewer. Other retailers could learn a thing or two from them.

Off to pour myself another beer from the keg :beerbang: .

My orders always seem to take a few days to process and then 1 day delivery (to the city). I assume they have a metric sh!ttonne of orders to process when they're closed Sunday-Monday and I normally order on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Yep, sounds about right Parks. Was talking to Josh on sat and he mentioned he had a day off sick a week or so ago. The next morning he was over 100 orders behind and that was on a Monday.... Crazy!

CraftBrewer have been a breeze to deal with.

Being located in PNG and especially not in a major centre is a serious headache when organising shipments of anything.

Ross and Anthony have put up with a lot of stupid questions, put me on the right track with excellent information and have sorted out all the export paperwork and specialist packing as required by our shipping agent.

I have received 3 pallets of equipment and ingredients so far in the past few months with about 80 kg of grain turning up yesterday all in excellent condition.

I am sure there are other reputable retailers out there but I can only speak for those I deal with and CraftBrewer have been excellent all the way through.

I'll give Craft Brewer a tick too, very easy to deal with and always prompt service - I'm generally a bit concerned with getting my yeast up north at this time of year, (got to look out for my babies) but the fast service offered minimises the risk. Well done CB :beerbang:

Just bumping this thread, I think many people take CraftBrewer for granted but once again, blown away.
Order packed yesterday and on the truck, waiting for me in the porch this afternoon when I got home.

Plus tracking emails at each stage.

+1 on Craftbrewer. Never had bad service. Ross even jumped in recently when a deal I was involved in with a user from here for a Celli tap went south. Ross gave me, and another person who also got done over, an awesome deal to sweeten the outcome; even though he had nothing to do with the original deal.

Top service. I will pay a little more if I can get it from craft brewer. Having worked in transport and web based businesses, their service is second to none IMHO. I've had a few billing issues and delayed deliveries, but that happens with any business. 99% of the time, these guys are brilliant, and they freely offer advice, and know their stuff. Best home brew supplier I've dealt with.

I get 99% of my stuff from Craftbrewer. The grain is cracked and bagged impeccably. The hops, while not the cheapest around, are very well packed and fresh. I just bought 2 x Wyeast smackpacks. Both only just over a week old.

I don't do postage anymore though, preferring to pick up when I'm working up that way. I put in an order the night before and it is there waiting for me the next day. I put a postage order in on the Tuesday with express post to the Gold Coast thinking that was plenty of time to get it that week. Got a postage confirmation on the Friday and got my stuff on the Monday which was disappointing because I couldn't brew that weekend. I suppose you could confirm things with them but this was disappointing.

Apart from that the service is spot on.
