Hi all,

I am currently cold conditioning and noticing the water in the air lock is moving back to the beer side,
I know this is caused by the gasses chilling a contracting.

do you take the air lock out for this process?
its 10c and this already all in the beer side of a two way air lock.

thanks

Never ever used an airlock myself, but yes, i would take it out and put some sticky tape/glad wrap/whatever over the hole.

Take airlock out throw in bin, problem solved. Many alternatives

I use starsan in my airlock, then I dont care about it

i use the pishab in mine...never had a failed CC yet

I notice it move a little bit it never gets anywhere near going into the beer

If it is filled correctly it should not drain in the beer. I like the s type because they will not drain back. The cup type can depending on the design.
