Coopers kits are on sale this week at my Local Woolies (Kellyville NSW)

The standard range Real Ale, Lager, Stout etc were going for $8.95
load up if you are close

Speaking of cheap kits, I noticed my local Woolies sells actual "Home Brand" kits. I gather it's the kit for the classic old fella who home brews for the cheapest piss possible. But it's left me curious. Has anyone tried it? What's it like?

They would be one of the large brands relabeled

Thanks for the heads up, fhgwgads. I'm in need of a stout.

Thanks fhgwgads, just bought 2x lagers....

I think im going to make me a sugar monster...

Not so long ago I made a lager using a home brand kit, wanted a cheap way of checking whether i'd cleared the infection from a fermenter.

Boiled for 30 minutes, added some LDME to the standard fermentables, hops for flavour -the result has been an excellent quaffer.

i noticed coopers international kits on special at bilo for $9.90.. grabbed me a mex kit :)
