I just rang them and they have been reading this thread. Yes there prices are wrong on the site. very helpfull lady on the phone though. Even offered us bulk buy prices.

She's gonna call me back in 5mins with some prices.

They'll likely get a few orders here. I'd much rather order from a QLD company to save a bit on shipping.

So these pots (120L) are $132 (ex gst) and thats a bulk buy price of 5 or more....she said free freight to Melb if you guys do a bulk buy.

Prob around the $145 mark for a single pot.

Call them, they are happy to discuss.

They've updated the prices now, but I think I might even be tempted by the 50L s/s pot with a thick thermal base for $200

Does the robinox from allquip have a thick solid thermal spreader base like that?
Anyone bought a pot from allquip in WA, what do they charge for postage? (cheflink quotes $20)

I just ordered a 90L Alu stockpot from cheflink a couple of days ago. I think it was $155 shipped (to Gold Coast).

I would've gone beerbelly for the pot too (I purchased my burner from them), but shipping a large pot to QLD costs too much. Shipping from cheflink was only $12.60.

90lt Stockpot Premier Aluminium (with Cover)
PRICE $126.00
Shipping Charges: $12.60
GST: $13.86
=====================
Total: $152.46

I'm buying a falsie and NASA burner from BB anyway, didn't notice the pots there. I see his has the solid base too, while I wasn't sure about the allquip ones.
It's got to be stainless steel for me, cheaper to weld than to buy bulkheads for me. After buying bulkheads the savings are minimal comparing aluminium to stainless when you want a tap and thermometer for the smaller stock pot sizes that is. Larger pots are $200 cheaper in Al so it make sense to buy them in AL but I'm only fater a 40L-50L pot.
edit: I guess I have a big wishlist from BB now, all I need is the funds. Well at least it's easier to save money these days, I'm not spending any money at the bottleshops anymore.

i would say stuff you and take legal action against them.

The advertising of a price of a price doesn't equate to an offer, it's an invitation to treat. If they a a corporation then you may have recourse under the Trade Practices Act. Otherwise there are the state fair trading acts. Rather a drastic action though.
