Hey guys,
Had a quick search with not much in the way of results so I thought I'd ask.
I have some 50L kegs from the footy club which I am going to fill with a nice APA for them to use (temporarily borrowing them...). It costs them ~$200 for a keg of XXXX bitter and me about $100 to make a really nice APA so the choice was simple...
Anyway, I have heard that XXXX etc are force carbed to a level (equilibrium) of 300kpa. I believe this is because they are warm carbed but not 100% sure. If I normally do a carbonation level of 40-50kpa in my home corny's which I like should I do the same for the commercial keg or carb it up more?
Some more info - the APA will be kept cold in the cold room so it won't get hot.
The keg spear is significantly bigger in diameter than a corny - does this make a difference?
I have the keg apart, cleaned etc so don't worry about that.
Thanks,
Parks!
