Those crappy bits of plastic with a crappy spring and valve inside them that you get in starter HB kits.

Does anyone make a halfway decent version that doesn't leak, and is about 2" longer so I can fill my 2l swingtops or do I have to find some stainless tube at work and make my own decent one? I don't have the space to setup for kegs, so Counter Pressure is out of the question for the forseeable future.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

some use some silicon tube between the tap and the bottle stick / wand then you can go from bottle to bottle not bottle to wand

or just 10cm worth of tube might sort you out ?

Cheers, Maheel. I ended up doing something similar the other day, but I'm more concerned with the quality of the placcy ones. Mine leaks constantly and I have to turn the tap off between bottles. Looking to find something similar in stainless with decent seals in it. And a bit longer.

I just use silcone tubing. Fits over the end of the tap nicely and then just pinch/bend once each bottle is full. Pop into the next bottle and unpinch/straighten and away she goes....

Usually get a whole fermentors worth into the bottles with minimal spillage...

I just let mine drip onto the decking and call it my sacrifice to the beer gods.
I dont think I lose much anyway. You can replace the O rings and that helps.

I have a bottling wand that has a one way valve in it . The pressure of the liquid stops it from flowing until you press it to the bottom of the bottle and then it releases the liquid and stops when you lift it off the bottom .

Take the spring out and stretch it out a bit. Also a little bit of food grade lube around the O-ring wont hurt.
the spring will push harder to seal it up and the lube will help with the seal.

as for the swingtops...

get a second bottling wand, pull the end off it so it's just the plastic tube.
get some silicone hose, slide it over and use that to join the 2 together or just a length of silicone hose to allow it to reach the bottom of the bottle ok.
