One last thing, any reccomendations of what kit I should try next? Any personal favourites?

Try and leave them for a month if you can, you will notice a big difference. No green flavour and everything in the beer will be sitting well together.

I reckon when ya starting out, you should try a bottled brew every 7, 10, 14, 21 and so forth days with you basic K&Ks just so you can truly appreciate the effect maturing has on the flavour, and get a first-hand taste of what we mean by green flavour.
