Just got this beer font today (2 of them):


from what ive been reading i'm guessing its a snaplock fitting to the faucet?
where can i get a reasonable priced snaplock tap?
only tap ive found so far was at andale and is $100

which sucks when you can get s/s perlicks of ebay for $40 delivered
i want 4 taps but im not spending $400 on it.
any suggestions where to get cheaper taps?

Boost them from a bar. The shank has an internal shut-off valve, so you won't leave a fountain of beer in you wake.

Yep they are Snaplock.

Keep an eye on ebay they come up quite often for ~$30-$50. A repair kit will put you back about $7 IIRC from Andale.

Another alternative is you can buy ADAPTOR SHANKS that fit THESEfellas which works out at $67.

I think about $20e@, they're called brumby tap adaptor if you wanna ring them. Theyr'e brumby taps look like a micromatic and have same thread etc as micro/ perlicks. Cheers

edit: BTW, Perlick taps are excellent, they are the 425SS in pic

I use the same adaptors for my taps. Look on ebay for the perlicks from USA i got my 4 at a great price.
