There is an idea on the internet, attributed to the late George Fix, that one could test for the effects of wort oxidation by brewing two identical batches and trying to oxidise one by splashing & stirring at the wrong time. Has anyone tried this ?
Doing this might also promote a mild infection - presumably this would not be repeatable but the oxidation would be.
Home brewers often do things that might promote oxidation but have no problems. I used to bottle from a tap with no tube attached; the beer just ran down the side of the bottle and churned a bit at the bottom.
